Single Review: Red Hearted Vibrations - "The Day You Tried To Save Me"

Words - Ray Mondo

Red Hearted Vibrations are a 4-piece acoustic rock band from Glasgow, Scotland - made up of two sets of siblings, they describe themselves as being influenced by the likes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fleetwood Mac and Jimmy Eat World.

With a new single entitled 'The Day You Tried To Save Me', the band were generous enough to let us have a preview of the song before its release on April 20th. Be sure to check out the link for the song below if you would like to check out the song before it's officially released.

Starting with what could be described as a somewhat cinematic intro, the song sets the pace for listeners by then confidently making way for bright, shimmering guitar notes and smooth, melodic vocals. With what seems to be an interesting mix of jangly indie-pop and easy-going folk-rock influences, the band have put together a single that could easily find itself being played on the radio while still standing out from the usual mainstream chart output.

From the bright and optimistic lyrics through to the detailed instrumentation of the song, everything is all tied nicely together with some very tight and neat production - not to mention a very fluid guitar solo that will be sure to get those hands clapping when the band break this one out live.

For fans of soaring rock ballads and big-sounding production, this is very much a song worth checking out.
